Nestled in the heart of Clarence-Rockland at 907 Lacroix Rd, Rach Little Shack offers a refreshing twist on classic fast food with a focus on hearty, comfort-driven dishes that appeal to families and casual diners alike. This humble chip stand, operated by a dedicated father and son team, delivers an inviting atmosphere shaded by a massive tree—perfect for escaping the summer heat while enjoying a satisfying meal.

The menu is a treasure trove for poutine lovers and burger enthusiasts. Standouts include their specialty poutines like the Italienne, Den’s Meaty Delight, and Chicken Pot Pie, each thoughtfully crafted with quality cheese, rich gravy, and crispy fries that strike a delightful balance between softness and crunch. The variety extends well beyond poutines, with platters featuring chicken fingers, club sandwiches, and the unique Smoked Meat on a Bun. Noteworthy too is their Cheeseburger with Smoked Meat and the innovative Salsa Swiss Burger, offering a layered taste experience that reflects the team’s creativity.

Regular patrons praise the freshness of the fries, noting they are cooked from real potatoes, not frozen, which elevates the overall quality. The deep-fried cheesecake with caramel drizzle provides a sweet, indulgent finish that balances the savory components brilliantly. And while the menu is extensive, the friendly service makes the ordering process seamless and engaging, creating a welcoming interaction especially appreciated by locals.

Rach Little Shack’s environment complements its culinary offerings well. The combination of bilingual staff and convenient amenities, including bathroom access, makes it an ideal spot for families, quick lunch breaks, or casual meet-ups. Customers like Jacob Pitre highlight the genuine warmth of the team behind the counter, while others commend the shaded outdoor space for its comfort and charm. This attention to experience elevates the fast-food visit beyond ordinary chip stand expectations.

While some note that the shack prefers cash payments and that prices reflect current market trends, the quality and consistency justify the value. Many customers eagerly await seasonal openings, a testament to the strong local following and the standout reputation Rach Little Shack enjoys in the Ottawa region’s fast-food landscape.

In summary, Rach Little Shack is a fast-food gem that blends classic comfort with distinctive touches and genuine hospitality. Its location, menu diversity, and inviting space make it a must-visit for families and anyone craving well-executed poutine and beyond.

A humble little chipstand run by a son and father. Extensive menu, great people to talk to, tasty food. They even have a massive tree in front so the entire area is entirely in the shade so it's nice to eat even though it's scorching out. Highly recommend eating here!

Love this chip stand. Honey mustard is yummy with pogos. Fries are how I love them… fresh real potatoes… by this I mean cooked once and not the frozen stuff. The only inconvenience is that they only take cash.

This one is a hidden gem! This chip stand can get crazy busy at times obviously depending on weather. Be ready to be amazed by her all dressed poutine. I have been waiting all winter for this place to re-open for the season. A few more days and RACH IS BACK! It has my vote for the best chip stand in the Ottawa Region!

Super happy to have this now in Hammond it adds to the town perfectly. I find the bilingual service and the friendly staff that is willing to chat a bit whit you if not busy nice plus i find the location is nice to it being shady and whit it having bathroom access it makes it a nice place to eat whit your family or go for a quick snack. The price of the food is average\ = expensive like everything nowadays so don’t expect 2009 prices but the food is pretty good I like the poutine I found that the gravy tastes pretty good pared whit the quality cheese that they use plus the fries are very consistent and good whit the right amount or crispy and softness + it goes down very well compared to the average poutine and doesn’t hurt my stomach after eating. In short I rate this chip stand a 5 star
